I don't think Jeffrey MacDonald was given a fair trial. The fact that some of the evidence had to be "restaged" to get photographs (http://www.karisable.com/mac4.htm) shows poor work being done by the investigators. It's also a little suspicious that the evidence of the bloody hair/fiber was not photographed before being cleaned off to determine what the fibers were. You would think that all of the investigators on the case would be experienced and not be dumb enough to forget to do things that are vital to the case. I don't believe that it's fair that he was going to take the sodium amytal test but was the denied the ability to do so (http://www.themacdonaldcase.org/Case_Facts.html). Evidence supports that the killer was left-handed while MacDonald is right handed. Doctors have also stated that the injuries on MacDonald's body could not have been predicted and there's no way that MacDonald could have known he would live if he stabbed himself. The poor investigation process and evidence that it was NOT MacDonald make his story more believable. It appears that he is innocent, the trial was completely unfair, and MacDonald was set up.

I believe Jeffrey Mcdonald is an innocent man. (http://www.karisable.com/mac8.htm) The autopsy report shows that the stab wounds were done by a left handed person, and Macdonald is a right handed person, no criminal at the last second would think of changing hands to kill to cover up evidence. The polygraph test (http://www.karisable.com/mac9.htm) done by two different people, one doctor unware of it being Macdonalds results declare that he is telling the truth about not killing his family.(http://www.karisable.com/mac10.htm) The doctors during the trial changed their minds many times, on whether or not he stabbed himself, or another person did. (http://www.karisable.com/mac3.htm) Certian photos of Macdonalds injuries were not taken, including wounds to his neck, cuts on his left hand and fingers. According to CID reports, there wer NO fingernail marks on him, giving no explanation why the children have his skin under their nails.(http://www.karisable.com/mac6.htm) His stepfather wrote later in his own handwriting that he saw 19 stab wounds on Macdonald, and believed his stepson was completely innocent.

I belive he was innocent mostly due to the poor work done hwww.karisable.com/mac4.htm) When at the trial the prosocution did not think that the unknown hair, and that the unknown skin under his wifes fingernails was important to bring up, and the jury was allowed to be swayed more by opinion than by actuall fact.Jefferys wounds were also played down by the prosocution so they did not seem as bad as they actually were, or as the doctors found them. (http://www.themacdonaldcase.org/Case_Facts.html) The defense investigatiors were not allowed to be near the scene until just days before the trial, and were not able to conduct their own tests becuase of this. This gave the prosoction a huge advantage on its own; when you think about the fact that much of the evidence was either incorrectly representated, or deemed unimportant enough to be presented at trial, it looks as though the trial was unfair at best.

I believe MacDonald was innocent for many reasons. For my first point I believe the investigators looked over very small pieces of evidence that could have changed the whole case. One piece was the pajama tops When they studied the pajama tops that was placed over Colette they found, out of the 48 holes in the tops 21 of them could be matched to the 21 ice pick holes. The problem is they found out fibers where in fibers should have been and they did not test for the question what of the possibility of the tops shifting during the stabbings. When her top was removed three ice pick holes were found in the back of her top and yet there were no ice pick wounds on the back side of her at all. This proves that Jeff's top would have had to shift as well and there were no test done to measure the widths of the thrust holes from the top to the chest of Colette. Another big oversight of the case the bloody palm print found on the bed's foot board in jeff and colette's bedroom. When it was tested the print did not match any of the MacDonald's nor did it match any of the investigators at the crime scene in the morning. When CID went to test the unknown hair they called it the "Hair of the MacDonald's" and they swore it was jeff's but when they results came in of the hair removed from one of the sweaters they found out it was a piece of horse hair, when it came to the trial the CID said the hair was to small to examine. The handling of the weapons used on the victims where ridiculous, they pick up the weapons before taking picture of them then set them back in the yard where they thought they went to take pictures at later dates. The investigators swore under oath that MacDonald threw the knife from his wife's chest across the bedroom floor but when they tested it for finger prints non were lifted when Jeff's should have been. The Knife that was sworn to be used in the murder was proven later to have nothing to do with the murder after three witnesses said under oath that they saw that bloody knife by the dresser in the bedroom. The baby sitter under oath swore that the knife and the ice pick and the club they said that were used as weapons she said she never saw at that house ever since she has worked there.( http://www.karisable.com/mac4.htm). As the Prosecutors said that Jeffery's wounds were not to serious as of his pregnant wife and two daughters the doctor that treated him said other wise as his wounds were quite serious. They said that sense he was a doctor he knew where how far to stab himself, the six doctors that worked on him and examined jeffery said that he could not have known the outcome of the injuries they said he self inflicted these injuries upon himself. Non of these wounds were photographed for evidence so to me this seems kinda skeptical if they say they weren't serious and most of the wounds were made by colette they would want to show what they were talking about. The prosecution made most of the injuries to be minimal as in the small bruise on his head two doctors testified it to be a large contusion in the head. when Ron Harris went to the hospital he ended up testifying what he saw and that was the large amount of bruises on the chest and ice pick wounds to the neck so i didn't think anyone would self inflict themselves to the neck it is a to dangerous area to try an stab. The government said there were no stab wounds to the body at all and there were no cuts or bruises on the hands or arms of jeffery MacDonald. Dr. Severt Jacobson found many scraps and cuts from a very sharp object being thrusted at him, and he also found four puncture wounds the upper chest of the body and multiple puncture wounds else where as in arms and abdomen. All three victims were found to have have unknown or unidentified hair that did not match their father/husbands hair at all underneath their fingernails. Also there were no scratches of gouge marks on Jeffery what so ever.(http://www.themacdonaldcase.org/Case_Facts.html). To me with all these little pieces of hidden evidence and some of it ignored seems like they didn't have an answer and just wanted to end this investigation so they did whatever they could to get Jeffery in jail. I believe this to be a set up on Jeffery whether it was by the military and thats why they fought so hard to get him arrested or convicted with the murder or by someone else that held a grudge over Jeffery; he was a doctor maybe one of his patients family did this in revenge of one of their lost ones that Jeffery could not save so now that person feels that Jeffery needs to pay and suffer like that family has so thats why he did not kill him but wounded him and make him live with losing his family. All these questions still seem possible to me since the CID nor the FBI could not prove exactly what happened and they could not prove completely that Jeffery did it. The prosecutors left out certain information that could have been useful to the case but would have been against them. They did not allow the the defense investigators to look around the house or apartment until a couple of days before the trial so they did not have much to work with. This i believe is a set up and Jeffery MacDonald is innocent.

On account of poor presentation on the government investigators' part despite recent evidence advantage, i think that jeffrey mcadonald was innocent.Although there are valid points to each side, i believe that the prosecution investegators did not present these pieces of evidence in an effective manner. Also, the defense attorney was not permitted into the crime scene until mere days before the trial date. Therefore, the evidence needed to support their consensus would not be quite as useful as it would have been if collected prior to separate invesigation and evidence collection. Furthermore, there are several factors of evidence which were highly overlooked at the crime scene. for example, There were foreign hairs found on each of the bodies that did not originate from any individual from the macdonald household (http://www.themacdonaldcase.org/index.html). Furthermore, prosecutors left out critical evidence to the trial; there were indeed fibers and bloodstain belonging to macdonald where he had fallen unconsious. This was kept from the trial, as it was a key piece of evidence which could have proved prosecutors wrong (http://www.themacdonaldcase.org/QandA.html). Therefore, Macdonald was prosecuted due to the absence of this key evidence. Also, the other main suspects had constantly spoken of their motives and of reasoning for leaving macdonald alive. Furthermore, the wounds found on Macdoanld were much more severe than lead on (http://www.themacdonaldcase.org/Jeffrey_Mac.html). Macdonald suffered a punctured lung, several deep stab wounds to the abdominals, and a severe concussion. Some prosecutors have claimed that since macdonald was a surgeon, he would have been able to predict what he could recover from. However, macdonald proceeded his injuries with several necessary surgeries needed to heal his lung collapse by 40%.4 out of the 5 doctors in the court ruling have agreed that there was no "safe" way for macdonald to predict the outcome of these injuries. Furthermore, Macdonald has had no history of mental illness, or psychiatric disorders. Therefore, all of these major factors supporty the conclusion of macdonald's innocence.
Julie Prosser- I think Jeffrey is innocent, because Helena Stoeckley admitted to wearing the same clothes that Jeffrey claimed he saw a woman in the house wearing. She also admitted to being on drugs that night and could not recall anything from the time of the murders. She said she had burned the clothes in fear that it would incriminate her. Also the investigators failed to reveal that Helena had made admissions to them. A woman that met MacDonald's description of the intruder was also spotted on a corner near the crime scene when the police arrived. Helena failed a lie detector test and later even admitted to being at the murder scene that night. Helena's boyfriend also admitted that they were both at the murder scene. He admitted that he and his group of friends went to the house to assault the family. He said that the whole group was strung out on drugs and things got bad. Helena even admitted to answering the phone while in the house. At a later trial, prosecutors claimed that there was no evidence of MacDonald's intruder story, failing to mention the fact that they had multiple witness statements and admissions to the crime. Prosecutor Brian Murtagh also tried to keep the withheld laboratory notes from the defense attorneys, claiming that they contained no evidence of MacDonald's intruder theory. However, when the judge forced Murtagh to hand over the documents they found that the prosecutors statement was false. The documents demonstrated that the Army had purposely suppressed a lot of information that supported MacDonald's claims. Also, quite a bit of evidence, such as hair, skin, fibers and blood was "lost". The lost evidence was never reported to have been lost. There were hairs that were not properly tested and others that did not belong to Jeffrey or anyone else that lived in the home. Also, skin samples from under Colette's fingernails went untested.Fibers were found on both Colette and Jeffrey that did not match to any other fibers in the MacDonald home. Hairs from under both of the daughters were found not to be Jeffrey's, but were not presented at the trial and remained unreported. They also found blonde wig hairs at the crime scen (Helena admitted to wearing a blonde wig at the crime scene) but the presence of the hairs remained unrevealed. There was also a bloody palmprint found at the scene that did not belong to Jeffrey or Colette. Also, when the police had decided that they were "done with the apartment" they burned it down, destroying any evidence that they may have "accidentally" skipped over. The government claimed that he "abandoned" his apartment but in reality the government did not allow him to return. The destruction of MacDonald's apartment also conveniently occurred as MacDonald's defense attorneys were trying to gain the right to examine the apartment themselves. The apartment was completely renovated for new occupants three years later, thus completely destroying any hope of obtaining any of this "lost" evidence.
Paige Lindemuth - I believe that MacDonald is innocent, a lot of the evidence was destroyed and lost by the government. An officer had seen the woman that Jeff MacDonald had reported being at his house with the three guys on the way to MacDonalds house and had not reported seeing her. When she was confronted she admitted she was there and offered a full line of events to the case for her immunity and the government told her No. She took two polygraph's one in 1971 and another in 1982 and both said the same thing, she was present at the scene. http://www.karisable.com/mac7.htm There was hair found under the girls nails that was not a match to MacDonald. He was attacked wtih mulitple objects that he could not have done to himself. Evidence, like his pajama shirt, the bath mat the telephone were all messed with before being photographed. There was not enough evidence left alone and collected by the government, most was destroyed or distorted by the government. macDonald's in-laws stood by his side, believeing he was innocent up untili a few years ago. They alos determined that the attacker had to be left handed and MacDonald is right, but Helena's boyfriend of the time was left handed.Helena admitted to being on drugs the night of the murders and not remembering much, while also admitting to wearing a blonde wig at the scene, blonde wig hairs were reported at the crime scene. http://www.themacdonaldcase.org/Case_Overview.html The government lost any hope of knowing the true conviction of the case. Jeannine Fowler: "Due to insufficient as well as inconclusive evidence, I find Jeff MacDonald innocent. The wounds inflicted were from a left-handed person when MacDonald is right handed! The investigators at the scene ruined a lot of the evidence. They sat on the couch, made coffee, read magazines, used the toilet, ect. well before any evidence was even collected! And some random brown long-haired guy wandered onto the scene, picked up a plant, and sat on the couch and no one knows who he is. I also believe Helena is alot smarter than people give her credit for and that Michelle guy was a lefty and he admitted to it! The investigative team ruined a lot of the evidence and someone moved the bodies and wiped the phone and bottle of its finger prints. Maybe some framing was going on, who really knows? There is just so many hairs and fibers that can’t be linked to anybody and the fact that Helena and her friend and the Mich guy burned all of the evidence, just doesn’t sit right with me. And the injuries that MacDonald sustained were too serious and risky to be self-inflicted wounds."
